- About Me: Welcome to the virtual hermitage of the Solitaries of St. Paul of Thebes (SSPT)–a contemplative Christian community of monastic tertiaries. In the spirit of the New Monasticism movement, the SSPT provides a cooperative framework and community structure for contemplative monastic tertiaries practicing the solitary life while remaining in the world. Our mission is the attainment of Theosis through the practices of prayer, meditation, and dedicated study of the great mystics of the Church. We welcome men and women from a host of Christian traditions and perspectives.
