- About Me: I'm Katie - a passionate artist who dyes charming and vibrantly colored yarn. Sock yarn is a perennial favorite, but a proliferation of hand dyed wool and wool blend yarns, hand spinning fiber and silk ribbons have nestled into my Midwest (USA) studio.
For me, color is endlessly fascinating. If it’s not being dyed on yarn or fiber I’m busily splashing it on my walls, and incorporating it into my wardrobe.
My obsession with yarn started when I was about 8 and I convinced my mom to teach me to knit and crochet. Since then I’ve expanded my knowledge and techniques and now I write knitting and crochet patterns, informative blog posts, and online classes.
