Temprogressive Volumen 3: A Wild Ride Through Early 2000s Electronic Beats Let’s get one thing straight—this album slaps. Hard. Released back in 2002 by DJ Neil and DJ Nano, Temprogressive Volumen 3 is the kind of record that makes you wanna clear your living room furniture, crank up the volume, and just lose yourself for an hour or two. It’s not perfect, but damn if it doesn’t hit all the right spots when it comes to raw energy and pure trance euphoria. The genre mashup here—Hard Trance, Trance, Hardstyle—is wild enough to keep things interesting without feeling like they’re trying too hard (which honestly can happen with some compilations from this era). And coming out of Spain on Tempo Music? Yeah, you know these guys weren’t messing around. They brought their A-game. Standout Tracks That Hit Different Now, let me tell ya about two tracks that stuck with me long after the first listen: 1. "Miami (Biscayne Mix)" Oh man, where do I even start? This track feels like stepping into a neon-lit club at 3 AM, sweat dripping down your back, heart racing because you’ve been dancing nonstop. The build-up is insane—it teases you, plays with your emotions, then BAM! Drops so hard you might actually scream. There’s something hypnotic about how smooth yet relentless it feels. Every time I hear it, I’m transported back to those carefree nights where nothing mattered except the music. Props to whoever engineered this beast; Mike Platinas really knew what he was doing. 2. "Fucking In The Sky" Okay, yeah, the title alone grabs attention—but trust me, the song delivers. It’s got this gritty edge mixed with soaring synths that make you feel untouchable. Like, imagine flying over a city skyline while lasers shoot outta your fingertips. Ridiculous image? Maybe. But that’s exactly how this track makes me feel. Matthew Tallon’s feature adds another layer of intensity too, giving it this almost cinematic vibe. Honestly, I think this track could soundtrack any action movie chase scene ever made. Why This Album Still Matters What gets me most about Temprogressive Volumen 3 is its authenticity. You can tell DJ Neil and DJ Nano poured everything they had into this project. No shortcuts, no filler tracks—just straight-up bangers designed to move bodies and souls alike. Even now, decades later, it holds up against modern productions. Sure, there are moments where the mixing feels slightly dated, but isn’t that part of its charm? It’s a snapshot of a specific time and place—a reminder of what electronic music used to sound like before everyone started chasing TikTok trends. And hey, shoutout to Josep Punset and Paco Vallejo for keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Those unsung heroes deserve more credit than they usually get. Final Thoughts (With a Twist) Listening to this album again recently made me realize something kinda funny: we spend so much time chasing new sounds, new artists, new vibes—but sometimes the old stuff hits harder than anything fresh off Spotify. Don’t get me wrong—I love discovering new tunes as much as anyone else. But albums like Temprogressive Volumen 3 remind us why we fell in love with music in the first place. So next time you're scrolling through playlists, take a break and throw this bad boy on. Who knows? Maybe you’ll end up losing yourself in “Miami” or floating away with “Fucking In The Sky.” Either way, you won’t regret it. P.S. If someone told me Nebuchanezzar was gonna be my favorite biblical reference in a techno remix, I’d have laughed in their face. Life’s weird like that.

Notes

  • Artwork: Tempo
  • Biem/Sgae.
  • There is a big mistake in the tracklist on the back cover of the compilation. Tune 2-04 is labeled as D-Gor - Signal Level, but the actual tune is Dj Nano - In your Arms, B-Side of the Fucking in the Sky EP. D-Gor - Signal Level is the track 2-05, so the subsequent tracks are actually wrong labeled. For example, Groove 1.0 is labeled as track 2-05 but it starts and is played on the track 2-06. The same goes for the following tracks.
