Amethyst Aberration Of The Floral Abyss – A Sonic Beatdown by EpochofStars Alright, buckle up. If you're here for some sugar-coated praise, you can bounce. This review ain’t about stroking egos—it’s raw, it’s rough, and it’s straight fire. Amethyst Aberration Of The Floral Abyss (yeah, try saying that five times fast) is the brainchild of UK-based EpochofStars, released back in 2013 under Dying Sun Records. Genre? Screw genres. It’s electronic meets rock with a punch of ambient vibes and black metal snarl. And holy hell, does this thing hit hard. Let’s cut to the chase—two tracks stand out like a sore thumb on a bloody battlefield: “Hemlock Burial” and “When The Roots Pierce The Sky.” These aren’t just songs; they’re assaults on your eardrums, but in the best way possible. “Hemlock Burial” kicks off with this eerie synth drone that feels like walking into an abandoned cathedral at midnight. Then BAM—the drums come crashing in like someone dropped a cinder block on your chest. The guitars are jagged, almost feral, weaving between glitchy electronica and full-on black metal chaos. What sticks? That goddamn atmosphere. You don’t listen to “Hemlock Burial,” you survive it. It’s suffocating, yet oddly beautiful, like drowning in toxic flowers. By the time it ends, you're gasping for air but kinda want more. Then there’s “When The Roots Pierce The Sky.” Holy crap, talk about a mood shift. This one starts slow, almost meditative, with these lush ambient layers creeping in like tendrils of fog. But don’t get too comfy—around the two-minute mark, the whole thing explodes into this frenzied riff-fest. Imagine if nature itself went berserk and decided to grow thorns through your skull. Yeah, it’s THAT heavy. The contrast between the calm intro and the relentless fury afterward slaps so hard it might leave a bruise. Now, let’s not forget the other tracks—they hold their own weight—but these two? They stick with you. Maybe because they feel like emotional rollercoasters without safety harnesses. Or maybe because they remind you how thin the line is between beauty and brutality. Reflection time: Listening to Amethyst Aberration Of The Floral Abyss feels like staring into a mirror that doesn’t reflect your face but instead shows what your soul sounds like when it’s pissed off and confused. Weird flex, right? But hey, isn’t that what great music should do? Shake you up, make you uncomfortable, and leave you questioning everything—including why you even bothered pressing play in the first place. So yeah, give this album a spin if you’ve got guts. Just don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

And i think this style is better without vocals... Sometimes the vocals breaks the atmosphere...

Hell yeah dude. I listened to this whole thing. I love ambient black metal. I am not the biggest fan but when I listen to it I feel like it is the only music to massage my brain and this takes the cake!
