Pulses Of Pleasure by Evil Invaders: A Thrash-Heavy Joyride You Won’t Forget (Even If You Try) Let’s get one thing straight—when an album titled Pulses Of Pleasure lands on your desk (or, ya know, pops up in your Spotify queue), you’re either gonna get sleazy glam rock or some serious headbanging action. Spoiler alert: Evil Invaders went full throttle with the latter. This 2015 release is a rip-roaring blend of thrash, heavy metal, and speed metal that’ll leave you breathless—or at least questioning whether you need medical attention for whiplash. Hailing from Austria but spreading their devilish tunes across Japan and Argentina too, this band has clearly mastered the art of making chaos sound downright catchy. And props to Napalm Records, Spiritual Beast, and Pacheco Records for backing this sonic rollercoaster. But let’s dive into the meat and potatoes—or should I say riffs and solos? The Tracks That Stuck Like Gum Under Your Seat First up, we’ve got “Fast, Loud ‘N’ Rude”, which somehow manages to live up to its name without being obnoxious about it. It’s fast as hell, loud enough to wake the neighbors, and rude in all the right ways. The guitar work by Sam Lemmens? Razor-sharp. Drums courtesy of Senne Jacobs? Like someone strapped a jet engine to his kit. Joe’s vocals tie it all together like duct tape on a broken dream. What sticks out most isn’t just how relentless it feels—it’s the way they sneak in these tiny melodic hooks that make you wanna scream along even if you don’t know the words. By the third listen, you’ll be shouting nonsense syllables louder than your dog barks at the mailman. Then there’s “Eclipse of the Mind,” a track that starts off brooding and atmospheric before punching you square in the face with its chorus. Seriously, it’s like walking through fog only to trip over a landmine. The interplay between Nico Beekwilder’s basslines and those ferocious riffs creates this hypnotic tension that pulls you in deeper every time. Plus, whoever handled the mixing (shoutout to Koen Keijers and Joe!) deserves a medal because everything sounds crystal clear yet gloriously raw. Why Does This Album Work? For starters, the artwork by Mario E. Lopez looks like what would happen if Iron Maiden and RoboCop had a baby during a dystopian thunderstorm. Florence Galopin’s design adds extra oomph to the whole package, while the photography team probably risked life and limb to capture shots that match the intensity of the music. Oh, and can we talk about Enzo Marangelli’s management skills? Dude must have nerves of steel to wrangle this bunch of musical madmen. But really, what makes Pulses Of Pleasure stand out is its refusal to take itself too seriously. Sure, it’s packed with blistering riffs, breakneck tempos, and more solos than a high school drama club, but it never veers into pretentious territory. These guys are here to shred, shout, and maybe scare a few grandmas along the way—and honestly, isn’t that what metal’s all about? Final Thoughts If you’re looking for something polished and radio-friendly, keep scrolling. But if you want an album that feels like riding a runaway train through a fireworks factory, buckle up. Pulses Of Pleasure delivers exactly what it promises: pure, unadulterated mayhem wrapped in a leather jacket. And hey, fun fact: Listening to this album might actually improve your reflexes. At least that’s what I tell my boss when he asks why I’m playing air guitar instead of working. Rating:

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The album *Pulses Of Pleasure* by Evil Invaders is like a global metal mashup. Released in 2015, it blends thrash, heavy metal, and speed metal with tracks that pack a punch. Fun fact—this record saw the light of day in three very different countries: Austria, Japan, and Argentina. It’s wild to think fans from these places, each with their own vibe, got to experience the same high-energy chaos. Oh, and check this out: the mastering and mixing were both handled by Koen Keijers, who clearly had his work cut out for him with all those intense riffs and thundering drums. If you’re into fast, loud, and straight-up rude music, this one’s for you!

Belgium's Evil Invaders started as a clone of early Metallica, Razor (titled after one of their albums), Exciter, Megadeth and Agent Steel, as shown by their 2015 debut, Pulses of Pleasure. Ridiculous and graceless, designed mainly for cheap laughs while remembering the idiocy of past "traditional metal" (under major label Napalm Records, by the way). Occasional acoustic sections ("Eclipse of the Mind") seem inserted just to show intellectualism.
