New World March The Remixes by Haujobb: A Sonic Odyssey That Sticks With You If you’re into the darker corners of electronic music—where Electro meets IDM and Industrial vibes collide—you’ve probably stumbled across Haujobb at some point. Their 2011 remix album New World March The Remixes isn’t just another collection of reworked tracks; it’s a labyrinth of sound that pulls you in, shakes you up, and spits you out somewhere else entirely. And yeah, it’s German through and through, which means precision but also this raw, unapologetic edge that feels like they don’t care if you “get it” or not. Spoiler alert: I didn’t get all of it, but damn, did I enjoy trying. Let me cut to the chase. Two tracks stuck with me for different reasons. First off, there’s “Soul Reader (This Morn’ Omina Feat. Rosey Remix).” Man, this one hits different. It starts slow, almost teasing you, before Rosey’s haunting vocals glide over glitchy beats and warped synths. There’s something about the way her voice cracks slightly on certain notes—it’s chilling, intimate, like she’s whispering secrets meant only for you. But then the track explodes into this chaotic swirl of noise and rhythm, and suddenly you’re not sure whether to dance or sit very still. Either way, it messes with your head in the best possible way. Honestly? I played this track three times in a row when I first heard it, just to figure out how it made me feel so uneasy yet hooked. Then there’s “Crossfire (Dryft Remix),” which is an absolute beast. This version takes the original and twists it into something heavier, angrier even. The bassline slams harder than expected, and those industrial clangs sound like machinery coming apart at the seams. You can almost picture Daniel Myer and Dejan Samardzic hunched over their gear, tweaking knobs until everything sounds just a little too loud, a little too sharp. It’s relentless, exhausting—but in a good way. Like running full speed into a storm because you know you’ll come out stronger on the other side. Or maybe drenched and confused. Hard to say. What really stands out here is how every remix feels intentional. These aren’t lazy rehashes—they’re fully fleshed-out reinterpretations, each bringing its own vibe while staying true to Haujobb’s signature grit. Kudos to the remixers (shoutout to Dryft and Acretonge especially) for making these versions stand tall next to the originals. Oh, and props to Christophe Dessaigne for the artwork too—it’s stark, minimalistic, and kinda unsettling, much like the music itself. But here’s the thing: listening to this album felt less like entertainment and more like therapy. Not the cozy, self-help book kind, though. More like the kind where someone forces you to confront stuff you’d rather ignore. By the time I reached “Dead Market (Ah Cama-Sotz Remix),” I was convinced my speakers were haunted. Maybe they were. In the end, New World March The Remixes isn’t perfect. Some tracks drag a bit, and others are so experimental they border on alienating. But isn’t that what makes it special? It doesn’t try to please everyone. Instead, it carves out its own weird little corner of the universe and dares you to step inside. And honestly? If you do, you might find yourself lingering longer than you planned. Final thought: Listening to this album feels like wandering through a neon-lit city at 3 AM—beautiful, dangerous, and strangely comforting. Just don’t forget your headphones.

Initially a dark ebm industrial project and founded 1993 in Bielefeld, Germany by Daniel Myer, Dejan Samardzic and Björn Jünemann. The latter left the group in 1995. Myer has said in an interview that the name Haujobb is a "wrong translation for skinjob" (in the movie Blade Runner the word "skinjob" is a pejorative term for a replicant).

My favorite song!!!
Germany and Russia have been enemies through history which is VERY wrong. They should ally or even unite. No fucking EU involved.
