Sahara Theres Yes Yes In Your Eyes by JazzBand Chantal – A Timeless Blast from 1925 Belgium Alright, let’s talk about this gem of an album. Sahara Theres Yes Yes In Your Eyes by JazzBand Chantal is one of those records that feels like it was plucked straight outta a smoky jazz club in 1925 Belgium. And honestly? It kinda was. Released under the label Chantal De Luxe, this little slice of history hits all the right notes if you’re into raw, unfiltered jazz vibes. Now, I gotta say—the track “Sahara” sticks with me. Not because it’s perfect or anything (it’s not), but because there’s something wild and untamed about it. You can almost picture Cliff Hess, the guy leading the charge here, waving his arms around like he’s trying to conduct chaos itself. The violin work by Leslie Jeffries on this one? Oh man, it’s got this scratchy, soulful quality that just grabs you by the heartstrings. It’s messy, sure, but isn’t that what makes old-school jazz so dang charming? Then there’s “There’s Yes! Yes! In Your Eyes!”—and wow, does this song have personality. Herman Farberman’s trumpet blasts are front and center, sounding like they’re shouting at you through time. Like, "Hey! Pay attention!" Meanwhile, John Cali’s banjo adds these playful little riffs that bounce around your brain long after the record stops spinning. It’s impossible not to smile when you hear it—it’s fun, flirty, and full of life. What gets me thinking, though, is how music back then wasn’t about perfection. It was more about capturing a moment, y’know? These musicians weren’t worried about Auto-Tune or polished production—they just played their hearts out. Listening to this album feels like stepping into a time machine where every note has its own story to tell. But here’s the kicker: even though this album came out nearly a hundred years ago, it still feels alive today. Maybe that’s why jazz never really goes outta style. Or maybe…just maybe…I’m romanticizing the past while sitting here sipping my coffee. Who knows? Either way, give this record a spin if you ever get the chance. It might surprise you—or at least make you wanna dance awkwardly in your living room.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The JazzBand Chantal album *Sahara Theres Yes Yes In Your Eyes* from 1925 is a hidden gem in music history. It came out in Belgium and was released under the label Chantal De Luxe. What makes it stand out? Cliff Hess, a key figure in the band, wore multiple hats—playing piano, leading the group, and even conducting. On top of that, each track had different musicians credited, like Herman Farberman on trumpet for one side and Leslie Jeffries on violin for the other. It’s wild to think about how much effort went into producing albums back then, especially with jazz just starting to find its groove globally.
