The Marathon Music Album Review: Nipsey Hussle’s Hip-Hop Hustle Classic Alright, let’s talk about The Marathon Music, the 2015 hip-hop gem from Nipsey Hussle that still bangs like your car stereo’s on steroids. Released under his own label, All Money In No Money Out (big moves right there), this album is more than just music—it's a vibe, a hustle manifesto, and honestly, it feels like hanging out with your realest friend who’s got big dreams but keeps it street-smart. First off, shoutout to the crew behind this project. You’ve got Adam, BlaccSam, Fatts, and of course, Nipsey himself as executive producers—these guys didn’t just make an album; they built a world. And can we clap for Jorge Peniche real quick? Dude handled both photography AND design. If multitasking was an Olympic sport, he’d take gold. Now onto the tracks. This album has bangers all over, but two tracks really stuck in my head like gum under a sneaker: “Young Rich And Famous” and “Blue Laces.” “Young Rich And Famous” hits different because it’s not trying too hard to impress anyone—it’s flexing without being flashy, you feel me? The beat slaps hard enough to wake up your grandma, but what gets me is how Nipsey lays down his bars. He talks about grinding so much that success almost feels inevitable, like he knew he was destined to blow. It’s motivational AF, kinda like when someone tells you, “Yeah, you look tired, but keep going.” Then there’s “Blue Laces,” which is straight fire. I mean, come on—the hook alone sticks to your brain like syrup on pancakes. What makes this track unforgettable is its raw energy. Nipsey spits rhymes like he’s telling stories at a barbecue, except instead of burgers, he’s serving lessons on loyalty and staying true to yourself. Plus, the production gives off that West Coast bounce that makes you wanna nod your head even if you’re stuck in traffic. Other notable mentions include joints like “Top Down” (perfect for cruising) and “Call From The Bank” (because who doesn’t love hearing about money?). But honestly, every track brings something unique to the table, whether it’s introspective lyrics or beats that slap harder than your ex’s shade. Here’s the thing though—what makes The Marathon Music stand out isn’t just the sound. It’s the spirit. Nipsey wasn’t just rapping; he was documenting his journey, his hustle, his grind. Listening to this album feels like peeking into his diary, except his diary comes with bass drops and quotable lines. So yeah, if you haven’t spun this yet, do yourself a favor and press play. Whether you’re chasing dreams or just need some solid tunes to vibe to, The Marathon Music delivers. And here’s the kicker—it’s wild to think this dropped back in 2015. Feels like yesterday, but also feels ahead of its time. Like Nipsey saw the future coming and decided to soundtrack it for us. Rest easy, legend. Your marathon continues to inspire.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: Nipsey Hussle's *The Marathon Music* album, released in 2015, wasn’t just another hip-hop project. It was a vibe, a movement. The album cover? Shot by Jorge Peniche, who also handled the design. Tracks like "Blue Laces" and "Young Rich And Famous" gave fans that raw, unfiltered Hustle energy. But here’s the kicker—Nipsey co-executive produced it with Adam and BlaccSam, showing his hands-on approach to every detail. Real artistry right there.
