Album Review: Noisia’s Latest Sonic Odyssey Noisia has always been a name synonymous with boundary-pushing electronic music, and their latest album (if we’re being honest) is no exception. This isn’t just another collection of beats; it’s an intricate web of sound design that demands your attention. While the entire album is worth diving into, there are two tracks in particular that stick out like sore thumbs—each for very different reasons. First up, “Track X” (we’ll call it that since I forgot the actual title). It’s one of those tunes you can’t unhear once it sinks its teeth into you. The bassline feels like it's crawling through your chest, while glitchy percussion rattles around your skull like loose change in a dryer. What makes this track memorable isn’t just its technical brilliance but how unpredictable it is. Just when you think you’ve got a grip on where it’s going, bam—it flips everything upside down. You know what? That drop at 2:45? Absolutely savage. Feels almost like they hacked your brainwaves and turned them into noise poetry. Then there’s “Something Mellow-ish,” which ironically isn’t mellow at all. Don’t let the intro fool you—it starts off slow, almost soothing, lulling you into a false sense of calm. But then BAM again, it slaps you awake with this monstrous midsection full of distorted synths and breakbeats so sharp they could cut glass. The way these elements clash together shouldn’t work, yet somehow it does. Like peanut butter and pickles—it sounds weird until you try it and realize it’s oddly satisfying. What strikes me most about this album is how cohesive it feels despite its wild diversity. Each track brings something unique to the table, yet they all share that unmistakable Noisia DNA. They don’t just make songs—they build worlds, each more immersive than the last. Reflecting on the whole experience, I gotta say, listening to this album feels less like entertainment and more like therapy for people who thrive on chaos. And honestly? That’s kinda beautiful. Unexpectedly though, as much as I love it, I found myself wondering if maybe Noisia should take a crack at scoring a horror movie next. Their ability to mess with your head would be perfect for creeping audiences out. Imagine sitting in a dark theater, heart racing, only to realize the soundtrack was made by three dudes from the Netherlands. Now that would be a twist ending.
