Bullet Man EP by Salaryman & Seereal: A Wild Ride Through Jungle Beats Alright, let’s dive into this beast of an EP. The Bullet Man EP from Salaryman & Seereal is one of those releases that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Released back in 2014 under Estonia’s Disturbed Recordings, this little gem falls squarely in the Drum n Bass camp, but don’t let that fool ya—it’s not your run-of-the-mill DnB record. Nope. This thing has teeth. First off, shoutout to Estonia for stepping up their game with this one. You don’t hear much about Estonian producers making waves globally, so kudos to these two for putting their country on the map with something as sharp as this EP. Now, onto the tracks. There are only two here—“Collision” and “Bullet Man”—but man, they pack a punch. Let me break ‘em down real quick: Collision Okay, so “Collision” hits hard right outta the gate. I mean HARD. It opens with this eerie sorta vibe, like you’re walking through some foggy alleyway at night, heart racing. Then BAM—the drums kick in, and suddenly you're running full speed ahead, dodging shadows and trying not to trip over yourself. What sticks with me most is how chaotic yet controlled everything feels. Like yeah, there’s madness going on all around, but somehow Salaryman & Seereal keep it tight. The bassline? Absolutely filthy. If you’ve got decent speakers, prepare for them to get a workout. One moment you’re vibing along, thinking, “Yeah, this is cool,” and then WHAM—you’re hit with another layer of sound that just flips the whole thing upside down. That unpredictability keeps you hooked. Honestly, every time I listen to “Collision,” I catch something new—a little hi-hat tweak here, a weird synth blip there. It’s kinda genius if you ask me. Bullet Man Then we’ve got the title track, “Bullet Man.” This one feels more direct, almost like it's chasing you rather than letting you explore its world. Picture someone shouting, “RUN!” before unleashing a barrage of rapid-fire beats. From start to finish, this tune doesn’t let up. It’s relentless. And honestly? That’s what makes it stick in my head. Sometimes music just needs to grab you by the collar and shake you till you can’t ignore it anymore—and that’s exactly what “Bullet Man” does. The energy here is insane. Every drum hit feels like a bullet whizzing past your ear (hence the name, I guess). But even though it’s intense, there’s still room for melody. Around the halfway mark, things ease off slightly, giving you space to breathe before dragging you back into the chaos. Love that balance between aggression and atmosphere. --- Final Thoughts So yeah, the Bullet Man EP might only be two tracks long, but damn, does it leave an impression. Both “Collision” and “Bullet Man” showcase Salaryman & Seereal’s knack for crafting tunes that feel both intricate and explosive. Whether you’re into jungle vibes or just need something heavy to blast during late-night drives, this EP’s got you covered. Here’s the kicker though—I didn’t expect such fire from Estonia. Like, seriously, who knew? Makes me wonder what other hidden gems are lurking out there in countries we don’t usually associate with electronic music. Guess the lesson here is never underestimate a small nation’s ability to punch above its weight class. Props to Salaryman & Seereal for proving size doesn’t matter when it comes to creativity. Now go give this EP a spin—you won’t regret it.
