Pony by Valentino Khan: A Wild Ride Through Electro House Chaos Alright, let’s talk about Pony, the 2019 banger from Valentino Khan. If you’re into Electronic and Dance music with that extra kick of Electro House energy, this album is basically your Friday night starter pack. Released under Mad Decent (you know, Diplo's label—yeah, THAT Diplo), it’s dripping with vibes that feel like neon lights on a sweaty dance floor. And oh boy, does it deliver. First off, the title track “Pony” slaps harder than your morning alarm clock when you're already late for work. It’s got this relentless groove that worms its way into your brain faster than you can say "repeat button." The bassline? Pure filth. Like, I’m not even mad—it’s iconic. Every time I hear it, I get flashbacks to losing my mind at some random warehouse party where everyone was just vibin’ so hard they forgot their own names. That drop? Chef’s kiss. It’s one of those tracks that makes you wanna throw your hands up, scream nonsense, and maybe accidentally knock over a drink or two. No regrets. Then there’s another standout, though I won’t name names because discovery is half the fun. Let’s just say it hits different—like if EDM had a love child with punk rock attitude. This tune feels dangerous in all the right ways, like sneaking out past curfew but knowing deep down it’ll be worth it. You can tell Valentino Khan wasn’t trying to play it safe here—he went full throttle, unapologetically loud, and honestly? We needed that. What sticks with me most about Pony isn’t just how catchy it is; it’s how raw it feels. There’s no pretentiousness, no overly polished edges pretending to be something they’re not. Instead, it’s messy, chaotic, and kinda genius—kinda like life itself. Listening to it feels like stepping into Khan’s world, where rules don’t exist and dancing is the only language spoken. And hey, here’s the twist: after spinning this album, I started wondering… what if Valentino Khan secretly moonlights as a cowboy? Think about it—the dude named an entire album Pony. Maybe he rides through LA on horseback while blasting his own beats. Or maybe he just really loves horses. Either way, I’m intrigued. So yeah, give Pony a spin if you haven’t yet. It’s wild, weird, and exactly what the Electro House scene needed in 2019. Just don’t blame me if you end up hoarse from screaming along to every track.
