Niño Loco Sendero by Vibrasphere: A Psychedelic Journey That Sticks With You Let’s cut to the chase—Vibrasphere's Niño Loco Sendero isn’t just another electronic album. Released in 2002 under Dragonfly Records, this gem is a wild ride through Psy-Trance and Progressive Trance vibes that feel like they’re straight outta some neon-lit dreamscape. Produced by Rikard Berglöf and Robert Elster (who also wrote the tracks), it’s got that raw energy you don’t hear much anymore. And shoutout to Shane for mastering—it’s crisp but still has that organic pulse. Now, let me tell ya about two tracks from this little time capsule that hit hard and stay stuck in your head like gum on a hot summer day. First up, “Sendero.” Oh man, this one feels like stepping into a forest at night where all the trees are glowing faintly. The beat builds slow, teasing you, before exploding into this hypnotic groove. It’s not chaotic; it’s controlled chaos if that makes sense? Every layer adds something new—a shimmer here, a bassline there—and suddenly you realize you’ve been staring blankly at the wall for ten minutes because your brain can’t handle how smooth it is. Like… damn. This track doesn’t just play; it breathes. I swear, every time I hear it, I’m reminded why I fell in love with trance music in the first place. Then there’s “Niño Loco,” which is basically its own beast entirely. If “Sendero” is a glowing forest, this one’s more like a carnival on Mars. It kicks off with these quirky synth stabs that sound almost playful, like someone tickling your ears with lasers. But then BOOM—the drop hits, and it’s heavy as hell. Not aggressive, though. More like… comforting heaviness? Weird combo, right? Somehow, Vibrasphere pulls it off without making it cheesy or overdone. By the end of the track, you’re left feeling like you’ve just had an adventure—you’re sweaty, maybe slightly disoriented, but kinda euphoric too. What strikes me most about this album is how alive it feels. These aren’t just beats slapped together—they’re stories told through sound. You can tell Rikard and Robert poured their souls into this thing. Even now, decades later, it holds up better than most stuff trying to be trendy. Here’s the kicker though—listening to Niño Loco Sendero made me think about how we used to lose ourselves in albums back in the day. No skipping around, no playlists, just diving deep into whatever weird worlds artists created. Nowadays, everything’s so fragmented. Maybe that’s why albums like this feel special—they remind us what it’s like to truly immerse ourselves in something strange and beautiful. So yeah, give it a spin. Just don’t blame me when you find yourself zoning out during meetings because you’ve got “Sendero” stuck in your head again.

About Vibrasphere

Progressive trance/psy-trance project from Sweden. Dub-influenced soundscapes, classic trance elements and broad bass lines are features that could be ascribed to their music. Vibrasphere began their musical path in the mid-nineties. Rickard had started a promising career in the very new trance scene and around the same time Robert was taking his first steps in musical production on his trusty Amiga-. After meeting through Rickards younger cousin- the pair entered the studio in the summer of 1998. In the latter stages of 2010, the duo announced the end of the project on their website. Rickard Berglöf still performs live as Vibrasphere from time to time.
