About The Chantoozies
Australian 1980s pop group made up of four female singers backed by a four bloke band featuring David Reyne (brother of Australian Crawl singer James). They were most famous for their cover versions of Redbone's "Witch Queen" and John Kongos' "He's Gonna Step On You Again". Band member Ally Fowler was known for her role in the soap Sons & Daughters and fellow member Tottie Goldsmith would later go on to present raunchy lifestyle show Sex/Life. David Reyne is a former co-host of the TV show called '9am with David & Kim'.

"Live" my ass !!!
great mix!
Is this remix on their CD?
??????????I remember this beauty ? kinda reminds me of being on a roller coaster listening to this song❗️
That's Montsalvat! Our family's go to place for interstate visitors, us, picnic on the lawns, the violin maker. I saw the real David Helfgott and his wife perform there. I love it. Of course I love this clip too. Love to you and yours, Jan xxx
Very 80s but I still love this song today
Nice song and video
Ah the Chantoozies - singing in perfect four part unison….
This is much better than the 1971 original version. This one is so Stock Atkins and Waterman I'm surprised Bananarama also didn't do a cover of this too after Venus.
Sounds like Bananarama
omg. Demon cat kill it with fire before it takes your soul.
Very catchy song.
With all due respect. This eighties mix of a "swamp rock" song to me is simply terrible. To me I get the feeling that they riding the wave of the Banarama song, Venus and to me it fails dismally.
There are some songs that are not meant to be touched and there are some songs that can be developed... this one is the earlier however I am interested in viewing another rendition of it.
I really like the group but it's a no for me.

??
God this brings back memories! Loved the Chantoozies! Tottie. goldsmith!! ???
Sounds like something the Hex Girls from Scooby-Doo would do
Can anybody else imagine Rob Zombie or White Zombie covering this song?
