About The Mark Of Cain
The Mark of Cain is a hard rock/alternative metal band from Adelaide, South Australia. Their style has been likened to that of and , yet this band predates both of those groups and was influenced by the early work of , and U.S. hardcore. The Mark of Cain was formed in 1984 by brothers John (guitar) and Kim Scott (bass guitar), with Rod Archer on vocals and Roger Crisp playing drums. Before long, Archer had left the group and John Scott took on the vocal role; The Mark of Cain has remained a trio ever since. The Scotts have been the core of the band which has featured some 15 different drummers. Currently, that position is held by former Helmet member John Stanier, who is also concurrently with and .

mmm a find all the bass lines to be similar to Birthday party or Gang of Four but...... Fuck these guys were so fucking tight live
I must say that drum fill Craig after there in that section is awesome. Just show a not believing drummer that sort of section to hear Stanier's Original Talent/Skill. After that non predictable original drum fill he lands exactly back in with Kim and John.
Me neither. He can do better.
the patch is good
I love this album. But I still don't understand John's (Stanier) fill at 3:56...
TMOC fucking the best!!

Fucking love the comments in this thread. Saw MoC in the late 90's headline at a 400 bar. There weren't many girls there as I recall. Great show.
Slow and fuckin heavy love it
REAL.AUSSIE.HARD.ROCK.TMOC.
Loved the Mark of Cain since I first heard them on Triple J back in the mid 90s. This track is crushingly heavy, like a T34.
Bring back Campbell Robinson he was the original anchor in that killer band
Scott bro's doing it top notch ! As always !
