You Can Feel It by Shaggy & Scoobie: A Wild Ride Through '95 House Vibes Alright, let’s get real for a sec. You Can Feel It ain’t your grandma’s house album—it’s raw, punchy, and dripping with that mid-'90s UK swagger. Shaggy & Scoobie came through in ’95 on Naughty But Nice Records like two dudes who just downed too many energy drinks and decided to make bangers. And guess what? They kinda nailed it. First up, the Epic Mix of the title track. Damn, this one hits HARD. The beat slaps so loud you might think someone cranked the bass just to piss off their neighbors. There’s this hypnotic synth loop running through it—simple but effective, like a hook that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. You can practically smell the fog machines and cheap neon lights when this thing drops. If you’re not moving your feet to this, check your pulse—you might be dead. Then there’s the Anthemic Mix, which is basically the same tune but juiced up on steroids. This version stretches out longer, teasing you with breakdowns before slamming back into that relentless groove. It’s got more build-up than a soap opera cliffhanger, and honestly, I live for it. Something about how they layer those snares and kicks makes me wanna lose my mind on a sweaty dancefloor somewhere in London circa 1995. Like, where were these guys hiding all my life? Look, I’m not gonna lie—the whole album feels like one big rave anthem mashed together. But hey, sometimes repetition works. These tracks stick because they don’t overthink it; they just hit you where it counts. No fancy tricks, no overly polished nonsense—just straight-up vibes for days. So here’s the kicker: listening to this record feels like stepping into a time machine. Except instead of landing in some futuristic utopia, you end up smack dab in the middle of a dodgy club with sticky floors and questionable fashion choices. Weirdly enough, that’s exactly why I love it. Final thought? Screw nostalgia being a warm blanket—this album's more like an electric shock to the system. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to find someone brave enough to blast this at full volume while I attempt (and fail) to relive my youth.
