Ketters Van Het Vlaamse Platteland: A Gritty Blast of Post-Punk Energy Alright, let’s talk about Ketters Van Het Vlaamse Platteland, a compilation album that dropped in 2012 on the German label Mauerstadtmusik. It's got this raw vibe that mixes Electronic, Rock, New Wave, and Post-Punk into something you didn’t know you needed but totally do. Produced by Thomas Pargmann (who clearly knows his stuff), this record feels like a time capsule from some underground Flemish scene that never got the spotlight it deserved. The album kicks off with "Twijfels," and man, does it grab your attention right away. The track has this driving bassline that just won't quit, paired with synths that feel both retro and kinda futuristic at the same time. What sticks with me is how unapologetically moody it is—like, you can practically picture someone brooding under neon lights while listening to this. It sets the tone perfectly for what’s coming next. Another standout is “Geluiden Tegen Gezag,” which translates to “Sounds Against Authority.” This one hits hard with its punk energy and sharp-edged lyrics. You don’t even need to understand every word to get the rebellious spirit behind it. There’s this chaotic guitar riff halfway through that sounds like pure defiance bottled up and unleashed. Honestly, it’s tracks like these that make me wish I could’ve been around back when this music was first bubbling up—it feels alive. Now, shoutout to Sven Mühlender for remastering the whole thing because it all sounds crisp without losing that gritty charm. And Marc Haesendonckx deserves props too; his liner notes add context and depth to an already intriguing project. What makes Ketters Van Het Vlaamse Platteland so memorable isn’t just the music itself—it’s the attitude. These songs aren’t polished or shiny; they’re messy, edgy, and full of personality. Listening to it feels like stumbling across a hidden gem in a dusty record store. You know what’s funny? For an album rooted in Flemish culture, it came out on a German label. Kinda cool how music crosses borders like that, huh? Anyway, if you’re into New Wave or Post-Punk—or just love discovering forgotten treasures—this one’s worth your time. Just don’t blame me if you end up playing “Twijfels” on repeat for days.

This is incredible, i love it !!!!! i've been looking to hear this demo since i foud out about this band on the already legendary Koude Golven compilation.. i bought that compilation because there were some of my all times favorite postpunk bands : De Brassers, Siglo XX, Struggler and Cultural Decay + some underground cult favorites : Company Of State, Gruppenbild annd that whole mindblowing split 12" between The Nue and Day After. Two bands were unknown for me back then : Sovjet War and Suspects ! Both bands became super favs and since i alwyas look for early demos and i was looking for the demotape... i kept searching on p2ps and here every now and then. You definitely made my day, thank you !! Do you happen to have the full release? (as listen on discogs with 11 tracks )

oh you have also this one - could you upload the whole demos? i've been looking for those songs forever, even before the Suspects demos. This band won't reissue their old stuff and it's heartbreaking
