M6 Dance N14: A Late ‘90s Eurodance Time Capsule That Still Slaps Alright, let’s talk about M6 Dance N14, the gloriously chaotic compilation album from 1998 that screams “France has entered the chat.” Released under M6 Interactions, this gem is a smorgasbord of electronic beats, pop hooks, and enough synth to power a small city. If you’re into Eurodance, electro, or just random dancefloor bangers, this one's got your name written all over it—in neon spray paint. First off, the tracklist reads like someone raided every club in Paris and threw whatever stuck onto a CD. There are 21 tracks here (yes, TWENTY-ONE), so naturally, some shine brighter than others. Let’s zoom in on two standouts that’ll make you go, “Oh yeah, I remember this!” Track Highlight 1: “Feel It” This bad boy kicks things off with zero chill. It’s got that quintessential late-’90s vibe—pulsing basslines, robotic vocals, and more cowbell than necessary (but hey, who’s complaining?). The chorus drills itself into your brain like an earworm on steroids. You don’t just hear “Feel It”; you feel it. Whether you’re at a rave or stuck in traffic, this track demands movement. Even if you’re just tapping your steering wheel awkwardly, it works. Side note: whoever decided to layer those laser sound effects deserves a medal—or maybe therapy. Track Highlight 2: “I Will Survive” Wait, what? Gloria Gaynor’s iconic anthem remixed for the Eurodance era? Absolutely. This version takes the timeless breakup anthem and gives it legs—literally. Imagine spinning disco balls, strobe lights, and people losing their minds on the dance floor because they can’t decide whether to cry or fist-pump. The remix keeps the soul of the original but adds enough thump-thump energy to make it feel fresh. Spoiler alert: you will survive listening to this, but your eardrums might need a nap afterward. --- Now, not every track hits the mark. Some songs feel like filler material straight out of a cheesy TV ad break (cough “El Pam Pam” cough). But hey, that’s the beauty of compilations—they’re a mixed bag. And honestly, isn’t life better when it’s unpredictable? The real magic of M6 Dance N14 lies in its ability to transport you back to 1998. Listening to it feels like flipping through an old photo album where everyone’s wearing shiny tracksuits and chunky sneakers. It’s nostalgic without trying too hard, fun without being pretentious, and messy in the best possible way. So here’s my hot take: If aliens ever invade Earth and ask us to explain human culture, we should hand them a copy of M6 Dance N14. They’ll either think we’re geniuses or completely bonkers. Either way, mission accomplished.

Industrial, metal, ethno and trance fusion with so many dance music rules broken, and it works. It's so unique, I still can't get over how progressive this stuff was. Absolutely a shining beacon and pinnacle in EDM. And forgotten. It's one of my favourite tracks of all time.

There's no such thing as the "1997 mix". All versions of this track were released in 1998. Maybe a DJ did play this song in 1997, but it wasn't released, and they probably got it from the label as a promo, or from the artist. This is by far one of Fred Baker's best work ever... this and Eisbaer!!
