Album Review: Reconsider Me Foggy Misty Morning by Narvel Felts Narvel Felts’ 1975 album Reconsider Me Foggy Misty Morning is a modest yet heartfelt entry in the Country genre, with roots that dig deep into Folk and World influences. Released under ABC Records in the Netherlands, this record feels like an overlooked gem tucked away in the crates of history. Produced by Johnny Morris, it carries a raw charm that’s hard to ignore, even if it doesn’t scream for attention. The standout tracks here are “Foggy Misty Morning” and “Reconsider Me.” These two songs linger in your mind long after the needle lifts off the vinyl. “Foggy Misty Morning” opens with a gentle twang, its melody drifting like the morning mist it describes. It’s simple but evocative—like watching sunlight break through clouds on a damp day. The lyrics don’t try too hard; they just sit with you, quiet and reflective. You can almost picture Felts singing this track somewhere rural, maybe leaning against a barn door or strumming his guitar by a creek. Its understated beauty sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Then there’s “Reconsider Me,” which hits different. This one has a bit more grit, a plea wrapped in steel guitar and earnest vocals. It’s the kind of song that makes you think about second chances—not just in love, but in life itself. There’s something universal about its longing, as if Felts knows we’ve all been at a crossroads where pride battles regret. The delivery isn’t perfect—it wavers slightly, almost like he means it too much—but that imperfection adds soul. It sticks because it feels real, not polished to death. What strikes me most about this album is how unassuming it is. In today’s world of overproduced music designed to go viral, Reconsider Me Foggy Misty Morning feels refreshingly human. It doesn’t demand your attention; instead, it waits patiently for you to find it. And once you do, it rewards you with moments of quiet connection. Oddly enough, listening to this record made me wonder why Narvel Felts didn’t achieve wider recognition outside niche circles. Maybe it was timing, maybe it was geography—or maybe he preferred it this way. Either way, this Dutch release from 1975 deserves another look (or listen). After all, sometimes the best things come wrapped in foggy mornings and humble melodies. Who woulda thought?

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: In 1975, country singer Narvel Felts released an album called *Reconsider Me Foggy Misty Morning* in the Netherlands. It might seem random, but it’s a little gem for country music fans. The album was produced by Johnny Morris and featured just two tracks—“Foggy Misty Morning” and “Reconsider Me.” It’s wild to think about a country album coming out in Europe back then, especially on ABC Records. Feels like a hidden piece of music history!

Absolutely Awesome since he is basically semi-retired in Missouri. A greater singer than he got credit forward. Roy Orbison thought he was fabulous & that says a lot about Narvel Felts. Another great song dvdman49. For every day I work as a Merchant Marine Officer, I earn a days vacation. You sure have great music & I got the time. Can’t thank you enough for sending all those other links to me. I am sure enjoying all your hard work. God Bless.
