i keep coming back to this video time and time again: it fills me with this indefinable sense of sadness and emptiness that's all too relatable, thinking about all the efforts others make to engage with us and get us to engage with the world, but also a sense of hope that we can one day make the effort to reach back to them and embrace those moments of connection and happiness to lead a fuller life. this is obviously not exclusively an asian-american phenomenon but as i am one myself i can say that this hit me really hard in the "former overachiever who's sort of given up" but has been trying their best these last few years to work on myself and find happiness. so basically, thank you all for this lovely video and these lovely beats, this just reminds me why i get up in the mornings and put on a brave face even though sometimes i dont feel particularly brave. ?

Hey! I came from Jenn's insta story post and I'm really glad that I did. For me personally, I like listening to new music twice. Once with my eyes close and solely focusing on the music and the second time listening to it again while watching the video. And I just have to say this is amazing! I felt so many different emotions of sadness, loneliness, to happiness in one song! The transitions of the beats were smooth and impactful. Watching it made all the emotions be more connected!
